Hey Fam!

I'll tell you about our little adventure this weekend. Drew and I went camping with some friends of ours this weekend in Virginia. Oh and by the way we love Virginia! It is so beautiful!

So we get to our campsite and pull everything out of both cars and start laying out the tent. HUGE THUNDER! The Sky's open up waterfalls. (storms are different out here) So like crazy people we are throwing everything into the crammed cars that were so carefully packed before just so to make everything fit. The tent was already completely totally soaked and couldn't get wetter, so we left it. We drove down the mountain to the only little town which is teeny tiny and has only a few bike rental places, a Subway and, a little cafe that is like you are sitting in someones personal kitchen. So we went to the Cafe and had some awesome home made food and waited out the storm. When it had stopped we drove back up and stood around our tent. it felt like a rain forest. Then....HUGE THUNDER. We all fly into action. the tents poles are labeled wrong so we looked like clowns all running around trying to figure out how it went. The waterfalls start again. ( the weather was supposed to be nice) we get the tent up... no rain fly... so we throw a holy tarp over the top and jump back in the cars. We spent the next few hours crammed in. finally stops. It takes forever to start a fire, even with fire starter, because you can see the water hanging in the air. In the end we all cram into the wet tent, and make it through the night. The next day we do the Creeper bike trail. This trail started out as an Apache trail, then was a pioneer trail which Daniel Boone used then, was a train trail. They eventually removed the tracks and now people bike it. It was so beautiful and you really don't have to pedal once the entire 16 miles! I'm not exaggerating! You just tap your brakes the whole way! It was so fun, and there were all these bridges you go over. I mean really, I did not exercise at all the whole 16 miles! It was so cool. It was so peaceful just getting to look and enjoy, and not having to worry about pedaling.
